Zao is a brand created to bring freshness, creativity, and authenticity to the bazaar and lifestyle market. The research phase focused on understanding how leading brands in the sector build trust and connect with their audience. By analyzing color trends, typography choices, and consumer expectations, I defined the foundations for a brand identity that balances innovation, elegance, and accessibility.
The visual identity of Zao was designed to reflect both modernity and warmth. A natural-inspired color palette of greens, browns, and neutrals communicates freshness and versatility, while the choice of Baskerville Old Face and Inter typefaces ensures a balance between tradition and contemporary design. The logo and visual elements were conceived to be simple yet impactful, adaptable across multiple applications.
The development process focused on transforming the visual ideas into a cohesive brand system. I established clear guidelines for logo usage, typography, and color applications, ensuring consistency across all digital and print materials. Supporting elements such as imagery style and illustrations were also defined, giving the brand flexibility to expand into different communication platforms while maintaining a strong identity.
The core concept behind Zao’s branding is self-expression and authenticity. The goal was to position Zao not just as a bazaar, but as a brand that inspires individuality and creativity. Every element from the logo to the tone of voice was created to connect with people on an emotional level, fostering a community that values diversity, style, and originality.
